Scripture: “Beloved, let us love one another, because love is from God; everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.” 1 John 4:7 (NRSV)

Reflection

You were not created out of accident or chaos. You were shaped by the hands of Love itself. The breath that filled Adam’s lungs came from a God whose very nature is love. And that same divine DNA runs through your spirit, reminding you: Love is what you are made of.

We often define ourselves by what we do, what we have, or what we lack. But Scripture draws us back to the truest core of our identity, not our careers, not our failures, not even our achievements but this: You are beloved. You are created in the image of a God who is love.

When God fashioned humanity, love was the blueprint. When Christ came to dwell among us, love was the message. When the Spirit fills our hearts, love becomes our mission. This love is not merely sentimental, it is sacrificial, courageous, patient, just, and redemptive.

Even when life bruises us, when the world tries to reshape us into bitterness or fear, God gently reminds us: “This is not who you are. Return to love. You were made in My image.” And when we love, we don’t just reflect God, we reveal God to the world. This is the good news!

Questions for Reflection

Where in your life do you feel most connected to God’s love?

Who in your life needs to be reminded today that they are made of love?

Are there places in your heart that have forgotten what you are made of?

Prayer

Loving God, thank you for shaping me with care and purpose. When I am tempted to define myself by the world’s standards, bring me back to the truth: I am made of Your love. Fill me again with your Holy Spirit, so that I may walk in love toward myself, toward others, and toward you. May I live this day not as a person trying to be loved, but as one who already is completely and eternally redeemed by God through Jesus Christ, our beloved friend. Amen.

Closing Thought

You are not just loved, you are made of love.
Let everything you do today flow from that sacred truth.
